Basic Description
- Eliminate separate windows
- Integrate UI into browser tabs
- Non-modal, non-popup
- Hide web-specific controls for those tabs
Current State
"Examples of in-content UI already present include session restore,
about:config, new add-ons manager, network error pages and phishing/malware
warning pages."

Plans: Preferences
As laid
out by Stephen Horlander in June 2010, preferences are among the targets
for moving UI into tabs, here's a mockup he drew up:
