MLP - The Mozilla L10n Project

The staff team coordinates the work of L10n teams with mozilla.org.

• Registration of official L10n teams
• Caring that localized builds get available to the public
• Trying to make L10n work as smooth as possible (documentation, processes, tools)
• Coordination of L10n work internally, with developers, organizations, ...
• Caring that the goals of MLP are attained

The staff team was newly formed in summer / fall 2004, now consisting of:

• Abdulkadir Topal: Web pages redesign
• Henrik Lynggaard: l10n tools, MozillaTranslator
• Mark Tyndall (mrt): Tutorials, web page content
• Martin Creutziger (MMx): Bugzilla default QA, Mac buddy
• Robert Kaiser (KaiRo): Project leader, coordination with MF and/or ME
• Søren Munk Skrøder (sskroeder): CVS work
• Tim Maks van den Broek (Mad_Maks): FTP staging
• We'd like to announce that Zbigniew Braniecki (gandalf) is joining that team for work on "source L10n"!

All Mozilla L10n projects are volunteer efforts by relatively small groups of people or single persons, official teams are listed at MLP pages, not all of them provide current builds though.

• Seamonkey: 114 teams, Mozilla 1.7.5: 21, 1.7.3: 33 languages
• Firefox: 30 (57) teams, Firefox 1.0: 28 languages
(40 planned for 1.0.1/1.0.2)
• Thunderbird: 49 teams, Thunderbird 1.0: 23 languages
• Camino, Sunbird, Nvu have ongoing efforts, but aren't yet on MLP pages (that is planned though)
